Poggio Moiano

I finally did find the snack I needed at Poggio Moiano. I felt that the whole town was hanging out at that little bar cafe when I stopped there. I thought it was interesting how some buildings were obviously in use while ones right next door were so broken down that trees were growing out of them.

One cute landmark mentioned in the guidebook was the mural of the three maidens. I wondered who the artist had been, and how old it was.

Soon out of town I crossed an old Roman bridge over a dry creek. The Romans sure knew how to build bridges judging by how many are still in use today.

The countryside and wildflowers were fabulous today.
