I am flying to Rome one week from today. First I will be running the Maradona di Roma.
After the marathon my plan is to fulfill a dream of walking from Assisi to Rome along the Via di Francesco, in the footsteps of St. Francis. I've walked the Camino di Santiago from Lourdes, France to Finisterra by the sea, in Spain. Later I walked from Lisbon, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela. I also walked the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage in Japan.
The day after the marathon I plan to take the train to Assisi and after spending a day or two there, begin my walk to Rome. I will do my best to update this blog along the way.
