Today was some really intense route finding. Instead of following occasional markers the guidebook lead me to a shorter route which follows the valley floor a through olive groves and onto a pleasant bike path. But to find the way I had to have the guide book in my hand and closely follow every word. Follow the road downhill between stone walls. At the stop sign go left, at the peach colored house.. turn left by the cafe, past the iron cross toward an old house, etc. Quite complex, but with close attention I did manage to find all of the subtle signs, houses, and buildings.
Once again it was a beautiful sunny day. I could not have asked for better weather so far on this trip.
